Mark Parry Memorial Scholarship Fund

At the annual Affective Disorder Day Dinner, held on January, 26, 2005, the Mark Parry Memorial Scholarship Fund awarded its first scholarship. The $1,000 scholarship will be used to pursue either academic or vocational goals.

More about the Mark Parry Memorial Scholarship Fund
Mark Parry was an admired and beloved member of our community. He was known to us as a gentle soul who was strong in his convictions and who quietly inspired others through his example. The goals of this fund are:

**To inspire and motivate YCCC clients with mental health issues to overcome those obstacles and realize their highest purpose and potential in their lives – both personally and vocationally;

**To educate and inform the greater Yolo County community served by YCCC of its mission, activities and accomplishments through an annual recognition scholarship award in Mark Parry’s name;

**To perpetuate with succeeding award recipients the personal qualities and accomplishments displayed by Mary Parry (“pass on the torch” tradition, as in the Olympic games).
