New Dimensions Apartment Complex

New Dimensions is a multi-family rental development specifically designed to provide permanent housing for mentally ill adults in Yolo County. Located at 582 Kentucky Avenue in Woodland, CA, New Dimensions provides affordable housing units in a mixed neighborhood setting. It is conveniently located close to many resources frequented by the residents who live there including mental health services, grocery stores, bus stops and medical clinics.

New Dimensions has two, 2-story buildings for a total of 15 units: 12 studios and 3 one-bedrooms. This housing project enjoys site based Section 8 which means that all of the units are subsidized as low income housing to make them affordable for those on Social Security.

Also located on the site is a Community Building with manager/counseling office, laundry room and community room. Apartment management services and housing support services are available on site at hours posted on the community room doors. The services provided encourage residents to utilize independent living skills so that they may enjoy autonomy in their daily routine. This program has been highly effective in preventing homelessness and provides safe living conditions for tenants. There is always a long waiting list for this housing site and vacancies are rare.

YCCC developed and currently operates New Dimensions with our housing development partner CHOC (Community Housing Opportunities Corporation). CHOC’s mission is to increase the availability of affordable housing and to improve the quality of life for very low, low and moderate income households.
