Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a Live Scan fingerprint and Department of Justice background checks, TB clearance, a physical exam and a valid driver's license with a clean driving records.  Additionally, First Aid and CPR certifications must be obtained before employment and remain valid during employment.

The Mental Health Worker is responsible for providing direct services to clients and for facilitating the day-to-day operations of the program. The Mental Health Worker collaborates as a member of a multi-agency treatment team to develop and implement effective services. This is a non-exempt position.
Education: Coursework in psychology, social work or related field.
Experience: One year experience working with individuals with psychiatric disabilities.
Knowledge: Knowledge of and belief in the principles of consumer centered treatment. Knowledge of DSM-V, medications and interventions. Knowledge of Microsoft office programs.
Special Skills: Demonstrated ability to work as a team and independently. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

This position is responsible for conducting psychiatric examinations and evaluations, making psychiatric diagnosis, applying psychiatric treatment and providing medical supervision and medication management for adult mental health clients.  
Education:  Graduation from an approved medical school and satisfactory completion of a three year psychiatric residency approved by the American Medical Association.  Possession of a valid Physician's and Surgeon's License issued by the State of California.  Board certification preferred. 
Experience:  Two years of direct practice in either a mental health program or hospital setting.
Knowledge:  Understands principles and methods of psychiatry, uses and effects of medications in psychiatric and related conditions, working knowledge of current developments in the field of psychiatry, mental health and clinical psychology.
Special Skills:  Demonstrated ability to work as a team player.  Excellent communication skills both oral and written.  Ability to make expert psychiatric diagnoses, interpretations and recommendations.  Ability to provide effective medical therapy for a wide range of mental health clients.
