“Take deep breaths” is a common household saying but ever wonder why or how to do them properly? Here are a few tips and tricks.

Breath Focus

  1. Eyes closed
  2. Breath in the phrase “I breath in peace and calm”
  3. Breath out the phrase “I breath out stress and tension”
  4. Continue for 10 to 20 minutes

Equal Time In and Out

  1. Breath through your nose for 5 seconds
  2. Breath out through your nose for 5 seconds
  3. Repeat

Modified Lion’s Breath

  1. Breath in through your nose and fill your belly with air
  2. When you can’t breathe anymore, open your mouth as wide as you can with a “HA” sound
